We are always delighted to welcome new members to join our club, no matter what your experience level. Our team of coaches have developed a fun style approach, suitable if you are a beginner or a seasoned player.
Before becoming a member, we ask you to take advantage of our free coaching so you can get to know the club and its members.
Training sessions run every Wednesday 10am, Friday 5.30pm & Sunday at 10am from May to late September
Do you need equipment? Not a problem. We can provide bowls during the coaching sessions, and all we ask is that you wear flat-soled shoes with no tread to avoid damage to the greens. Smart casual clothing is more than adequate.
Once you join the club, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in club, local, county, and national competitions. Be sure to have a look at our Fixtures page for upcoming events.
Our Bar opens on match days, social events & on Friday evenings so you can always come along for a drink & get to know your fellow Members.
New Members will be issued with a starters pack giving you access to the club grounds, lockers if needed and guidance notes, these are available from your Club Representative.
Throughout the year, even after the outdoor season has ended we lay on lots of activities including winter short mat, something well worth a try.... much different to outdoor but enjoyed by many of our members, extending the community spirit of the club, as well as keeping their hand in & enjoying the fun but competitive atmosphere.
It is hoped that all our new members become long standing friends and Ashcombe Park Bowling Club is the place you will want to play bowls for many years.
