To achieve this qualification requires achieving a pass mark of at least 90% for a 100-question written paper on Laws of the Sport, and a similar pass mark for a practical and oral test. This second part was a two-day course held at Nailsea Indoor Bowls Club, with Vic Perry the E.B.U.A. Development Officer as the examiner. There were five new candidates and five Umpires taking their 4-yearly re-qualification, from as far afield as Cornwall and Norwich.
Frank adds this to his E.B.U.A. County Grade Marker, which he passed last year.
Well done Frank.
